HPRP’s Aviation Team will Participate in an International Conference “Partnering in Opening the Skies of East Asia, with Special Reference to the Position of Indonesia”

HPRP’s aviation team, led by Andre Rahadian, Partner in HPRP, will actively participate in organizing an international conference “Partnering in Opening the Skies of East Asia, with Special Reference to the Position of Indonesia”, held by the Indonesian Air Law Society (Masyarakat Hukum Udara or MHU), in close cooperation with the International Institute of Air and Space Law (IIASL) of Leiden University, the Netherlands. The conference is part of the Seventh Leiden-Sarin Air Law Moot Court Competition.

Inviting authorities related to aviation, domestic and international airlines companies, airport operators, and other institution related to aviation sectors, the conference will address issues in ASEAN open skies, including competition under ASEAN Open Skies, the readiness of airports, and meeting the challenges in aviation safety.

The Indonesian Air Law Society (Masyarakat Hukum Udara or MHU) is a non political, independent, non-profit organization serving as the main communication forum for its members to exchange thoughts and ideas to advance the air law sector and act as a partner of the government in the development of Indonesia’s air law sector. Furthermore, one of MHU’s programs is to provide legal knowledge related to air law to people in Indonesia. Members of the organization are practitioners with law degree from various sectors, academics, representative of government, and in-house counsel of aviation companies. Currently, Andre Rahadian, Partner in HPRP is appointed as the Chairman of the organization.
